    Fernando Cores received his BS and MS from 1997 and 2000, respectively, and a PdD in distributed multimedia systems from the Universitat Autonoma of Barcelona, Spain, in 2004. He is an assistant professor in the Computer Science Department of the University of Lleida, Spain. His research interests include distributed multimedia systems, multimedia and high-performance P2P systems and parallel simulation.

    Francesc Giné received the B.S. in telecommunication engineering from the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (UPC), Spain, in 1993 and the M.S. and Ph.D degrees in computer science from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Spain, in 1999 and 2004, respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor of Computer Arquitecture at University of Lleida (UdL), Spain. His research interest include cluster, multicluster and peer-to-peer computing and scheduling-mapping for parallel processing.

    Josep Lluís Lérida Monsó received the BS degree in computer science from the Open University of Catalonia (OUC), Spain, in 2004 and the MS and PhD degrees from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), Spain, in 2006 and 2009, respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor of the Computer Science Department at University of Lleida (UdL), Spain. His current research interests include performance modeling, prediction and scheduling of applications in Cluster, Grid and P2P environments.

    Jordi Mateo Fornés received the B.S. in Computer Science degree in 2012 from the Escola Politècnica Superior of the Universitat de Lleida (UdL). And the M.S. in Computer Science from Escola Politècnica Superior (EPS) of the Universitat de Lleida (UdL), in 2013. He received a Ph.D. degree at the University of Lleida in 2019, where he obtained the 'cum laude' mention. He is currently affiliated with the Distributed Computing group. His research interest and expertise involve differents topics related to data science fields such as Operations Research (stochastic optimization); High-Performance Computing (parallelization of algorithms); Cloud computing; Big data; Internet of things (IoT), Decision Support Systems, eHealth and Agriculture 4.0.

    Josep Rius Torrentó received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in computer science from the Universitat de Lleida, Spain, in 2006 and 2008, respectively, the B.S. and M.S. degrees in business administration, in 2009 and 2011, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Universitat de Lleida, in 2012, where he is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Business Administration. His research interests include parallel and distributed computing, cloud infrastructures, big data, and data analysis.

She has been an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Lleida, Spain, since 1992. Her current research interests include parallel and distributed systems, modelling of parallel applications, task graph models, static mapping, task mapping algorithms and optimization of streaming applications.

    Eloi Gabaldon Ponsa received the ETIG title from the Escola Politecnica Superior of the Universitat de Lleida (UdL), in 2009. Also received the EI and MEPL titles in 2012 from the same university. He has currently a PHD grant in the GCD group in the Universitat de Lleida (UDL). His research is about optimizing the scheduling of jobs into a multi-cluster system using genetic algorithms.

He is currently research support staff at Universitat de Lleida (UdL) in Lleida. His research interests include cloud computing, big data analysis, machine learning and parallelization of scientific and technological applications.
